I cook with purpose and lineage
Cooking is my passion project for life. It’s how I pay homage to my grandmothers, my ancestors, and my bloodlines—and how I honor my pure love for food.
I’m classically mentored and relentlessly self-taught
I apprenticed with a classically trained chef in Chicago for two years, and beyond that I’m self-taught through genuine, interest-driven practice that keeps my food curious, personal, and evolving.
I trust instinct, embrace risk, and never skip the butter
In my kitchen, I trust my instincts and I’m not afraid to experiment and take risks—while always remembering the essentials (and yes, I never forget the butter).
Found out about Take a Chef a week before planned event. Received a few menus from various chefs and Christina was very responsive. She showed up on time with some pre-cooked items and finished off in the kitchen. We enjoyed the meal which was Caribbean themed. Only thing I’d say is I didn’t realize it was family style until day of event but wasn’t a problem. Interaction with us was minimal - only as needed to serve food in case you are looking for a different vibe. Overall would recommend.
